Nightmare on Illinois Street
If you own a pool, you know the challenge it can be to keep it pristine and blue. Literally, one rainfall can turn your gatorade blue pool into baby poop green overnight. It seems like it will take a doctorate in Chemistry to balance the chemicals once it does turn green.
And this is where our story begins...
It was a stormy night, lightening flashing, thunder booming, and in the distance I could see the silhouette of something unrecognizable. Was it the creature from the black lagoon? It couldn’t be! I was miles away from any body of water. Unless, you consider the oversized pool at the Illinois Historical Home, a body of water!
The Illinois Historical Home was charming, had a ton of character, original hardwood floors, and stunning crown molding throughout the home. It was a historical gem! But… even with all the charm, the entire home did need some major updating. And in the evening during a thunderstorm, it could feel a little spooky. Except for the POOL!
It was an older pool, but it was in excellent condition and enormous! Especially compared to the splash ponds we see today. It was a large, deep rectangular pool and it was one of the best selling features of the home.
Until the pool pump exploded! Yes, exploded! Cracked open, busted all the pipes leading to the pump, AND drained the pool. It was a shallow, baby poop green, mess.
That’s when we called Sunrise Pool Care Company. Sunrise Pool Care made an emergency visit to asses the damage, performed a miracle pool surgery on the busted pipes, installed a new pool pump within days, and got the pool back to its optimal condition by the end of the week. And if that wasn’t enough… they returned almost everyday to make sure it stayed crystal clear and pristine blue.
