PE Teacher and Youth Exercise Specialist
We are so excited to announce a new PE Program for elementary age students. We are even more excited that it is being lead by Chrissy Short, a beloved member of our community who specializes in youth exercise. Chrissy is a PE Teacher at a local elementary school who understands the growing need for Physical Education classes for students who are participating in stay at home education options.
With her love of sports and physical activity she has created a safe PE Program to help students develop their physical competence and knowledge of movement; and their ability to perform a wide range of activities associated with the development of an active and healthy lifestyle.
Just like any other subject in school like math, reading, and writing, P.E. is also a systematic approach that builds motor skills that improve their overall ability to participate in sports and living an overall healthy lifestyle.
With this knowledge Shorty’s P.E. Program will provide direction to improve:
- Balance
- Body Control
- Core Work
- Hand-eye Coordination
- Agility
- Reaction
- FUN!
We cannot think of a better person to lead this program! Not only does Chrissy practice what she preaches, but she thoroughly enjoys what she does and realizes how important an active lifestyle is for our children.
